Tremont School Forum - The Intersection of Health, Biomechanics, and Education

Tremont School Forum is delighted to feature Dr. Lydia
Knutson and Dr. Charles T. Krebs as they present a lively discussion about the effects of brain development,  biomechanics, and the neuroskeletal system on students' academic performance, social skills, and behavioral regulation. Dr. Knutson is the Executive Director of The Lydian Center for Innovative Medicine, and her colleague Dr. Krebs is an expert in kinesiology and applied physiology.

The Lydian Center offers a holistic approach to helping children and adults reach their fullest potential. Dr. Knutson writes, "When putting together the Lydian Center team, I was interested in putting together a group of health care practitioners who share my interest in this fundamental assumption that brain integration, in all its aspects, is the door to learning and therefore healing. No one intervention can heal everyone, but at the Lydian Center we are developing a common language to talk to one another about where health and education find their most profound intersection."
