Wayland-Weston Crew Krispy Kreme Fundraiser

Based on their success at the state, regional and national level, the Wayland-Weston Rowing Association girls’ team has been invited to race at the PAC12 Invitational Regatta in Redwood Shores, California, on March 30 and 31. This is a tremendous opportunity for the team to race against some of the best teams on the west coast, preparing them for the spring season.

To help to pay for the trip, the team will be hosting a Krispy Kreme fundraiser on Saturday morning, February 9th at the following locations: Bruegger’s in Weston, Weston Town Dump, Wayland Town Dump and Whole Foods in Wayland. Please stop by to meet some the rowers, enjoy some donuts and help to support the team.

Last spring the Wayland-Weston girl’s crew team won the State Championship, their seventh straight title. The lightweight eight boat came in first at the Northeast Regional Regatta and went on to finish fourth at Youth Nationals two weeks later in Tennessee. The girls’ team finished this past fall season with a sixth place finish at the Head of the Charles and another win at the State Championship Regatta. They are eager to build on that success during the upcoming spring season.

Your support will be appreciated!
