Read to a Dog!

Read to a Dog!
Read to a Dog a program that encourages children to read by providing a non-judgmental listener. Dogs won't laugh if they stumble over a word, but will lie next to them and enjoy the story. Over time, reading ability and confidence can improve because children are practicing their skills, which will make them enjoy reading even more!

Kids first through fifth grades can sign up for a 15-minute session with one of our Fabulous Reading Buddies: Luna and Katie Bear! Bring your own book, or read one from the Library.

Pre-registration is required. Registration starts Monday, August 19th. To sign up, stop by the Youth Services Desk or call us at 781-786-6166.

Katie Bear and  Luna are certified Therapy Dogs
