Community Corner

Read to a Dog!

Why read to a dog?  Because a dog is friendly and fuzzy
and loves the attention of being read to!  Gain confidence in your reading
aloud skills and enjoy the company of one of our fabulous reading buddies.
The program is in the Storytelling Room--when reading, only the reader,
the dog and the trainer are in the room.  Parents and siblings must remain
outside.  Readers just gaining confidence don't need an audience!  Preregistration is required; sign up starts
the Monday before the program.  Sign up for a 15-minute session on
Saturday, April 12th from 10:30 – 12.  Bring your own books, or read some
from the library.  The participating
dogs and trainers are registered Therapy dogs with Therapy Dogs International.
