Community Corner

What Happens in Weston If...?

Come to the Weston Community Center at 6:30 on December 3rd for an informative and engaging event, and some really good food! The Weston Emergency Reserve Corps (WERC) is proud to host this event, featuring Liisa Jackson, founder of Preparedness Specialty Services and former coordinator for Medical Reserve Corps Region 4a. Liisa will lead an educational session about how Weston citizens can help in an emergency.

We will then discuss various "What if..." scenarios for Weston, going through how our community would respond to emergencies like:
  -> an influenza pandemic
  -> a toxic spill on 128
  -> a severe ice storm
  -> others suggested by those present

This is a valuable event for all existing WERC volunteers to attend, plus it would be a great introduction for anyone interested in these issues. So, definitely invite your friends!

Please sign up to attend by Dec. 1st by sending an email to Rudy Ruggles (rruggles3 at me dot com) with the names of those attending. That way we'll make sure to have enough food for everybody.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
