Pinnacle Report for Weston, MA Real Estate 10/29/2012 - 11/11/2012

First and foremost and before getting into my Pinnacle Report for the Weston, MA real estate market, Happy Veterans Day! This special day, celebrating the service of all U.S. military veterans, is usually observed on November 11, which marks the anniversary of the end of World War I. According to Wikipedia, "Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, with the German signing of the Armistice." Officially Veterans Day was celebrated on Sunday, but Monday marked the holiday.

To all of our veterans - we thank you for your service. Without you we wouldn't be the incredible country that we are....

And now back to the business at hand.... In the last two weeks in Weston, two single family homes came on the market and three sold.*These reduced numbers are not surprising given that during this time frame we experienced a Nor’Easter and Hurricane Sandy plus activity naturally slows at this time of the year as we approach the holiday season. Our inventory of 62 properties continues its downward trend; it was 70 in my last report and 95 this time last year. We await the activity and results of the last few weeks of the Fall market.
