Pinnacle Report for Weston, MA Real Estate Jan. 9-22, 2012

The AFC Champion New England Patriots and the latest on Weston's new, pending and remaining listings.

This Weston, MA Pinnacle Report is dedicated to the New England Patriots. On Sunday afternoon the Patriots played the Baltimore Ravens in the final AFC playoff game and won 23-20 because the Ravens kicker missed a 32-yard field goal attempt, which rarely happens. Unbelievable. As an aside, I grew up in Baltimore, but at that time, our football team was the Baltimore Colts. The Baltimore Ravens weren't established until 1996, which was long after my years as a Baltimore resident. But I do have many friends and family who still live there, and so I was sad for them ... but I was ecstatic for us and our Patriots team. I can't wait for the Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis on Sunday, Feb. 5, the New England Patriots vs. the New York Giants! Go Pats!

And now back to reality and the real estate front. The spring market may be coming early to Weston – at least it appears this way from all the new listings. In the last two weeks, 12 single-family homes came on the market and one sold*.  Given the number of new listings and those properties that have come back on the market, our inventory (72) has increased more than 40 percent since my last report. It seems that sellers are ready to sell; now we wait to see if buyers are ready to buy.
