1. Cooking Class: Picnic Fare  
When/Where: Saturday at 10 a.m. at Weston Public Library, 87 School St., Weston.
Why Go: Picnic season will be here before you know it. Before you resign yourself to peanut butter sandwiches and carrot sticks, check out this class.
Price: Free, register by calling the library.

2. Sparky's Puppets Perform "Tricksters and Noodleheads"
When/Where: Tuesday, April 17 at 2:30 p.m. at Wayland Public Library, 5 Concord Road, Wayland.
Why Go: The puppet show will feature silly folk tales and is geared toward preschool and elementary aged children.
Price: Free

3. Cars and Coffee
When/Where: Saturday from 7 a.m.-10 a.m. at BMW of Sudbury, 128 Boston Post Road # 20, Sudbury.
Why Go: A Saturday morning gathering of vintage, specialty and classic cars and car enthusiasts complete with free coffee.

4. Variety Show and Silent Auction for Appalachia Mission Trip
When/Where: Saturday at 6 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 472 Massachusetts Ave., Acton.
Why Go: Thirty-eight youth and adults are raising money for a summer trip to complete home repairs for needy families in Cental Appalachia. Pizza and other food will be for sale and silent auction items are varied. All funds will support the mission team.
