Weekend Happenings: A Musical, A Parade and Skateboarding

Things going on in the area this weekend.

 

1. "Legally Blonde - The Musical" at Weston High School When/Where: May 3-5 at 7:30 p.m. at Weston High School, 444 Wellesley Street, Weston.
Why Go: The Weston High School Theater Company presents the hit Broadway musical (based on the hit film) for its spring musical. Come check out the cast of 50 perform the fun, high-energy show.
Price: $15 adults; $5 students, seniors and military personnel

2. Wayland Baseball Softball Association Parade
When/Where: Saturday at 10 a.m. The parade steps off from Wayland Middle School, 201 Main Street, Wayland.
Why Go: Wally the Green Monster will make an appearance during this annual parade that serves as the kickoff for the summer baseball season. Lots of excitement, fun and baseball for all.

3. Puttin' on a Little Ritz
When/Where: Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sandy Burr Country Club, 103 Cochituate Road, Wayland.
Why Go: This annual event raises money for The Golden Tones chorus, but promises a good time for all. ABC news reporter Gail Huff is the special guest and the afternoon will include dancing, music a raffle and more.
Price: $25

4. HOPEsudbury Flagpole Dedication
When/Where: Saturday at 10 a.m. at Goodnow Library, 21 Concord Rd, Sudbury.
Why Go: This celebration pays tribute to HOPEsudbury's 10th anniversary as well as marks the start of Military Appreciation Month, as instituted by the Sudbury Board of Selectmen.

5. TJ O'Grady Skate Park Sixth Anniversary
When/Where: Friday from 2:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at Danny's Place, 1 Charter Road, Acton.
Why Go: Skateboarding all day, skateboarding demos from the Eastern Boarder Team, food and music will come together for this fun event.
