Weekend Happenings: Art Show, Antiquing and Relay for Life

A few things to keep you entertained near home this weekend.

1. Weston High School Art Show
When/Where: Friday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at The Barn at the Josiah Smith Tavern, 358 Boston Post Road, Weston.
Why Go: This is your chance to browse some of the high-quality work being done by art students at Weston High School.
Price: Free 

2. Weston-Wayland Relay for Life
When/Where: Saturday at 6 p.m. through Sunday at 6 a.m. at Claypit Hill School, 86 Claypit Hill Road, Wayland.
Why Go: This popular fundraiser for the American Cancer Society is open to everyone. In addition to the all-night relay, there will be food, entertainment, games, music and more.
Price: Free

3. Annual Youth Fishing Derby
When/Where: Saturday from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. at Mill Pond in Wayland.
Why Go: This annual event is a favorite of kids and families alike. Kids up to eighth grade are invited to fish while older kids and adults enjoy concessions and participate in raffles. Funds from the sale of concessions will be donated to the Vernon Cancer Center at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

4. Third Annual Wayside Inn Antiques Show and Sale
When/Where: Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Wayside Inn, 72 Wayside Inn Rd, Sudbury.
Why Go: This fundraiser for the Wayside Inn Historic Site is a favorite for antique lovers and collectors. This enormous sale draws browsers and shoppers from all over.
Price: $10

5. May is Movie Month, Cultural Council Presentation
When/Where: Friday at 7 p.m. at the Acton Town Hall, 472 Main St, Acton.
Why Go: The Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council presents the Turkish film "Bliss" Friday night as part of the “Our World, May is Movie Month" film series. The film is not appropriate for children under 16.
