Newton Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Beacon Street.

According to police reports, the vehicle's owner said he parked his Subaru station wagon in the driveway the night before, leaving the doors unlocked and the keys under the driver's side floor mat.

It's a Dog-Bite-Donkey World Out There
An Estabrook Road resident reported encountering a woman on her Concord property who was walking her dog off-leash. The caller said the other woman's dog ran up to her donkey and "play bit" its rear end, not causing any injury. The caller said the other woman was very cooperative, and provided her information in case any vet bills were incurred, but she wanted to speak with the dog officer anyway: http://patch.com/A-4kzB

I Told Them Not to Park Their Car in the Way of My Golf Ball
At the Hersey upper parking lot, Needham Police responded to look into possible vandalism on a vehicle parked in the lot at midday. Police believe that the broken driver's side window was caused by "an errant golf ball," according to their report:
How Many Police Does It Take to Turn a Truck?
An oversized vehicle was having difficulties with a turn from Manning Street onto Hemlock Road. With the help of several Needham Police units, the vehicle was guided onto Hemlock and to its destination. Police reported damage on Central and Woodlan Avenue, and police are investigating:
For a would-be Ringo?
A Watertown resident discovered someone broke into his home and stole two pairs of valuable and collectible drum sets. It appears that the thief broke in through the basement, police said. http://patch.com/A-4vLd
Dropping in for an (Illegal) Visit
Newton Police arrested Jonathan Payne, 22, after a caller reported that Payne was currently trespassing in a Christina Street home. The home's resident told police that Payne broke into her home via the skylight in the roof, breaking it in the process of prying it open, according to police reports.
Payne was arrested and is being charged with malicious destruction of property over $250 for damaging the skylight, felony breaking and entering in the daytime, and trespassing. http://patch.com/A-4v6R
