OMGPD: Tomato Juice Vandalism, a Bad Place to Nap & More Police Oddities

Our weekly roundup of some of the more unusual police reports from around the Boston area. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Digging Yourself in Deeper

A Watertown man got into even deeper legal trouble at a Boston courthouse when he reportedly paid his court fees with counterfeit money. Fernando Costa, 24, used fake bills, according to a report on BostonInno.com: two fake $100s, two real $20s and a real $10: http://patch.com/A-1lj0

Needham Police responded to a disturbance between a man and woman inside a tractor-trailer. A witness says she either fell — or was pushed — out of the cab of the trailer. When she tried to climb back in, she was pushed down by the male driver. After being pushed (possibly) the second time, she started walking toward the highway. Police were not able to find either the tractor-trailer, or the victim: http://patch.com/A-3wBw

Not a Good Place to Get Caught Napping

A Waltham man was caught napping; unfortunately, it was behind the wheel of a car in the middle of a Watertown roadway. A Watertown Police officer woke the man up and detected a strong odor of alcohol. The man was arrested on an OUI charge: http://patch.com/A-3xjt

Vandalism...with tomato juice?

Newton Police responded to Concord Road after a woman reported a vandalism incident involving her car. According to police reports, the woman parked her car on Rand Terrace around 8:30 a.m. to drop her kids off at daycare and use the bus stop. When she returned later that day, she found tomato juice poured all over her car's hood and windshield: http://patch.com/A-3n7S
