Shootout Suspect May Be Headed to Weston
Gunfire was reported during a carjacking in Newton.
Authorities on Monday were chasing a carjacking suspect who may have been seen headed to Weston.
Shots were fired during the incident, according to emergency radio reports.
The suspect was described as a "light-skinned black ... or hispanic male." The man is said to have stole a car at gunpoint on Lincoln Street in Newton and was seen heading into Weston.
Police were attempting to set up a perimeter at the Newton town line to catch the suspect. A K-9 unit was also called in. The State Police Air Wing was requested but canceled because of the weather.
