Weston Police Log, April 18-23 : Man Charged With Passing Bad Checks

A Salem man was arrested on Friday, April 20, at 9:52 a.m. for allegedly passing bad checks at , police said.

John Velez, 38, of 14 1/2 Hazel St., Salem, was arrested on outstanding warrants for fraud. Charges are pending for passing bad checks at the Cambridge Trust Company in Weston, including on April 18, police said.

3;10 p.m. – A brush fire was reported at 23 Derby Lane.

6:06 p.m. – Suspicious activity was reported at St. Demetrios Greek Church on Brown Street.

 

Friday, April 20

12:19 a.m. – A suspicious car was reported at 333 Winter St.

8:02 a.m. – A car accident with injuries was reported near 411 South Ave.

8:15 a.m. – A suspicious car was reported at 3 Sanderson Lane.

9:52 a.m. – Larceny/forgery/fraud was reported at 494 Boston Post Road. An arrest was made. (See above.)

11:33 a.m. – Identity theft was reported at 138 Newton St.

2:03 p.m. – A brush fire was reported at South Avenue and Highland Street.

3:18 p.m. – A car accident with injuries was reported on Rte. 128 south.

7:48 p.m. – A brush fire was reported at the Mass Pike plaza.

 

Thursday, April 19

1:09 p.m. – A suspicious car was reported at 4 Brook Road.

4:40 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported on South Avenue.

 

Wednesday, April 18

3:55 a.m. – A car accident with injuries was reported on River Road near the Mass Pike.

7:20 a.m. – A fire was reported at 38 Cedar Road.

8:55 a.m. – Larceny/forgery/fraud was reported at Cambridge Trust Bank, 494 Boston Post Road.

5:11 p.m. – A Natick man was arrested at 679 Wellesley St. Peter Hanson, 41, of 12 School St. Apt. B, Natick, was charged with driving with a revoked license.

7:53 p.m. – A suspicious car was reported at 470 Conant Road.

 

Tuesday, April 18

6:31 a.m. – A brush fire was reported at 164 Conant Road.

11:17 a.m. – A dog complaint was received from the Ash Street reservoir.

2:27 p.m. – An animal complaint was received from 12 Whitney Tavern Lane.

3:28 p.m. – A person was reported missing at 115 Hickory Road. The person was found.

4:00 p.m. – An animal complaint was received from 10 Winthrop Circle.

6:44 p.m. – An animal complaint was received from 177 Boston Post Road.
