Weston Police Logs: Animal Complaints, Home Break-In

The following information was supplied by the Weston Police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a sample of the Weston Police logs. 

July 27 

9:10 p.m. – Suspicious activity on Winter Street. Services rendered.

5:40 p.m. – Animal complaint on Boston Post Road. Citation issued.

10:40 p.m. – Noise complaint on Winter Street. Investigated.

Police conducted seven car stops.

July 28

7:26 p.m. – Animal complaint on Village Road. Services rendered. 

9:44 p.m. – Suspicious car on Blueberry Hill Road. Offciers responded and discovered a driver had pulled into the wrong driveway.

Police conducted two car stops.

July 29

2:19 a.m. – Suspicious activity on Montvale Road. Police responded to a report of an intruder in a home. Police discovered a woman living in the home had just arrived home.

7:29 a.m. – Animal complaint on Wellesley Street. Services rendered.

10:29 a.m. – Harassing phone calls at Biogen Idec on Boston Post Road.

12:02 p.m. – Suspicious person on Church Street. Services rendered.

12:47 p.m. – Animal complaint on North Avenue.

5:15 p.m. – Harassing phone calls at Biogen Idec on Boston Post Road. A man called a person at the company saying he had just been in a car accident with her father. The man said that he needed $1,500 or else he would kidnap the father. The recipient suspected a scam was afoot, and called her father. The father was OK and had not been in a crash.

6:36 p.m. – Car crash on Sibley Road. No injures. 

8:57 p.m. – Disabled motor vehicle on South Avenue. No action required.

July 30

12:08 a.m. – Noise complaint on Meadowbrook Road. Could not locate.

12:43 a.m. – Suspicious car on Wellesley Street.

9:27 a.m. – Larceny, forgery, fraud on Oak Street. A man reported a racing bicycle had been stolen.

10:27 a.m. – Car crash on Boston Post Road. No injuries.

10:43 a.m. – Animal complaint on Meadowbrook Road. Services rendered.

1:56 p.m. – Disabled motor vehicle on Boston Post Road. Could not locate. 

2:01 p.m. – Car crash on Merriam Street. No injuries.

7:05 p.m. – Dog complaint on South Avenue. Services rendered. 

Police conducted five car stops.

July 31 

11:23 a.m. – Dog complaint on Cherrybrook Road. Services rendered.

5:21 p.m.  – Police charged Michael Chamblain, 27, of Natick, a man with operating a car with a revoked license. He was charged after police stopped his car on Route 20 at Sutton Place.

10:19 p.m. – Suspicious activity on Meadowbrook Road Building secured.

11:39 p.m. – Suspicious activity on Webster Road. Could not locate.

Aug. 1 

2:31 p.m. – Larceny, forgery, fraud on Audobon Road. A woman reported an attempted email scam on behalf of another homeowner.

2:50 p.m. – Animal complaint on Meadowbrook Road.

5:21 p.m. – Car crash with injuries on Boston Post Road.

7:31 p.m. – Disabled car on Concord Road. Services rendered. 

7:27 p.m. – Car crash with injuries on Wellesley Street.

11:25 p.m. – Suspicious motor vehicle on Meadowbrook Road. Investigated. Police responded and discovered the car belonged in the area.

Aug. 2

6 a.m. – Animal complaint on North Avenue. Referred to other agency.

10 a.m. – Traffic light failed on Boston Post Road.

2:35 p.m. – Dog bite on Conant Road. Police responded to a dog biting another dog.

3:07 p.m. – Car crash on South Avenue. Property damage. Police responded to a report of a tree limb falling on a car. 

6:56 p.m. –  Police charged Donna Leone, 54, of West Newton, with operating with a suspended license, not having an inspection sticker and a number plate violation. Police stopped the car she was driving on Route 30 near the tractor-trailer lot.

7:29 p.m. - Car crash with injuries on Summer Street. A male driver crashed head-on into a telephone pole on River Road. The victim was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

9:37 p.m. – Erratic operation on South Avenue.

Police conducted five car stops.

Aug. 3 

4:36 p.m. –  A resident reported an attempted house break-in on Pheasant Trail. The suspect fled without taking anything. 

Police conducted 10 car stops.
