Weston Residents, Locally Connected Runners Confirmed Safe

Anyone in Boylston area can use Safe and Well site to let family know they are OK.

We've received word that one Weston resident received help from strangers following the blasts that shook the Boston Marathon today.

Barbara Alfond reports that Jennifer Alfond Seeman was stopped by race officials at Kenmore Square and Hailey Bechtol was taken in by strangers on Beacon Street on Brookline and "lavished with kindness until her family was able to get to her."

On her own Facebook page, Jennifer Seeman writes:

Made it to mile 26 before the race was stopped. So grateful that my family was safe. My heart goes out to those who were affected. Hug your loved ones.

The site, activated by the Red Cross for the marathon explosion, allows user to search for you by name to check on your status.
