Weston Transfer Station Now Closed

The station will reopen after Aug. 20.

The Weston transfer station has closed for two weeks.

The station will reopen after Aug. 20, according to a town press release. The station closed to give workers a two-week window during which they plan to replace the access bridge that leads to the site.

During the two-week span, residents can use the upper salt shed area behind the Weston Public Works building on Route 20 as a transfer station. The hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.

However, only household trash and co-mingled recycling will be allowed at the temporary site. That includes:  glass, paper, cardboard, plastic and metal cans.

During the closure, the Kendall Green commuter rail lot will have limited parking.

For further information, please call Weston DPW at 781-786-5100.
