Help Weston Celebrate Its 300th Birthday

The Weston300 committee is looking for volunteers, ideas and a new logo for the celebration in 2013.

It's , but the town of Weston has put together a new committee to help with its 300th anniversary—the Weston300 Committee.

The committee is looking to get a jump start on the anniversary celebration and is looking for town input with not only the celebration itself, but also a logo design contest.

According to chairman Ed Coburn, the committee hopes to make the entire year of 2013 a special one for Weston.

“We envision a year of events with a Weston300 theme. We hope to engage the schools, civic organizations, town employees and committees, and local businesses in all aspects of the planning and celebration. Our goal is build community spirit, celebrate the history of the town, have fun, and leave a lasting memorial of the celebration," he said in a press release.

The committee will hold an informational and brainstorming meeting on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the .
