Latest Opportunities to Serve on Town Boards, Committees

Weston is looking for a few good men and women to serve a wide variety of committees and boards.

- SELECTMEN'S TOWN MEETING ADVISORY COMMITTEE -- This is a new committee  is tasked with "making recommendations to the Board regarding Article 1 of the General By-laws of the Town of Weston relating to Town Meeting," according to the announcement.

The committee will complete its work by Oct. 1, 2013.

- PLANNING BOARD -- This opening was created through a mid-term resignation. The vacancy will be filled by a vote of the Board of Selectmen and Planning Board. Candidates for this position should be willing to run for election in May 2013, for the term expiring May 2017.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST -- This opening was created by a mid-term resignation.

"Residents with background or interest in matters relevant to affordable housing, such as law, finance, construction and property development, historic preservation, and community affairs are encouraged to apply," according to an announcement about the vacancy.
