Meetings in Weston This Week

This week there are meetings of several town boards and committees as well as a public hearing on Case's Corner.

If getting more involved in your town is among your resolutions, now's the time to start. After a traditional end-of-year meetings break, many Weston boards and committees resume today. Here are some of the ones you might want to attend, as well as an important public hearing:

Weston School Committee, Monday, Jan. 9, 7 p.m., Case House

Items on tonight's agenda include a discussion of Weston Education Enrichment Fund Committee (WEEFC) proposals, facilities project updates, a budget overview, and more.

Planning Board/Affordable Housing Trust, Tuesday, Jan. 10, 6 p.m., Town Hall

The Affordable Housing Rrust will begin its meeting at 6 p.m, the Planning Board at 7:30 p.m., and at 8 p.m, the two groups will join for a public meeting to discuss plans for affordable housing on Warren Avenue.

Case's Corner Public Meeting, Wednesday, Jan. 11, 7 p.m, Case House

The Weston Traffic and Sidewalk Advisory Committee will discuss a proposal to reconstruct Case’s Corner (the intersection of Wellesley and Newton streets) during the summer. The proposed design is for a modern roundabout, which will eliminate the stop sign for northbound Wellesley Street vehicles, and provide improved traffic flow and pedestrian safety. Improvements to the Wellesley Street/School Street intersection are also proposed as part of this project.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
