Photos: Weston Annual Town Election Underway

More than 720 people had voted by 12:45 p.m.

Weston residents were out at the polls at on Saturday, May 5, with more than 720 people having cast ballots by 12:45 p.m.

Inside the Town Hall auditorium, a steady stream of voters was passing through near lunchtime. By early afternoon, 502 voters from precincts one and two had cast their ballots, while 320 from precincts three and four had done the same.

Outside Town Hall, a cluster of supporters holding Wendy Spector and Pam Fox signs waved to passing cars and chatted with friends and neighbors. Closer to Boston Post Road, William (Bill) Sandalls and his supporters were doing the same. Spector and Sandalls are facing off in one of the contested races, for Moderator, in this election. (Fox is challenged by George "Mike" Gordon for Planning Board in the other contested race.)

Two ballot questions may also have drawn residents out to vote.

The polls are open until 6 p.m. tonight, and Weston Patch will post results after they are made available by the Town Clerk.
