Residents Needed for Stormwater Permitting Authority

Volunteers are needed to serve on the town board.

Editor's note: This was submitted by the town of Weston.

The Town of Weston is seeking interested residents to serve a three-year term on the Stormwater Permitting Authority (SWPA). SWPA is responsible for administering, implementing and enforcing the Stormwater and Erosion Control By-Law. The purpose of the By-Law is to ensure that new development, redevelopment and certain land disturbance activities do not increase stormwater runoff.

The  SWPA consists of five members: Town Engineer, Town Planner, Conservation Administrator, Public Health Director and one resident. Weston residents with a degree in landscape architecture, environmental or civil engineering or environmental science who are interested in serving on the SWPA are asked to email a letter of interest with background information to the Board of Selectmen at selectmen@westonmass.org or by mail to the Town of Weston, Board of Selectmen, 11 Town House Road, P. O. Box 378, Weston, MA 02493.
