Selectmen to Appoint Police Station Study Committee

Selectmen set to appoint members at Tuesday meeting

The Weston Board of Selectmen is set to appoint members to a Police Station Study Committee at its meeting Tuesday, Aug. 28. The meeting begins at 7 p.m., and the study committee item is on the agenda for 8:45 p.m.

At its previous two meetings, the selectmen interviewed more than a half dozen residents who put their names forth to join the committee.

The selectmen discussed on Aug. 14 the number of members to appoint to the committee, noting they may appoint a committee of five working members with a selectman liason and the police and fire chiefs and Town Manager Donna VanderClock as non-working members.
