The Town of Weston has two openings on the Cultural Council. The Cultural Council is made up of five to ten volunteers appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The committee is the local representative of the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC). The MCC’s mission is “to provide access, education and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in order to improve the quality of life and contribute to the economic vitality of our communities.”

The Weston Cultural Council’s primary responsibility is the administration of grant funds from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The Weston Cultural Council’s main meeting is in the fall to vote on applications for funding.
