Weston Annual Town Election: Results

Wendy Spector wins the race for moderator.

In the contested race for Moderator in the May 5 Weston town election, incumbent Wendy Spector emerged as the winner, with 872 votes to challenger Bill Sandalls' 703, according to results provided by Weston Town Clerk Deborah Davenport.

Spector's votes included 532 from precincts 1 and 2, plus 340 from precincts 3 and 4. Sandalls got 399 votes in precincts 1 and 2, and 304 from precinct 3 and 4 voters.

In the other contested race, for Planning Board, incumbent Pam Fox won with 1,056 votes to 435 for challenger George "Mike" Gordon. Fox got 608 votes from precinct 1 and 2 voters, plus 448 from those in precincts 3 and 4. Gordon received 279 and 156 votes respectively.

On the ballot question on a Proposition 2 1/2 debt exclusion, 1,010 people voted yes, versus 420 voting no.

The second ballot question, on approval to grant club and special licenses for alcohol sales at the golf courses, also carried with 1,287 yes votes over 234 who voted no.
