Weston DPW Asking Residents to Help Clear Storm Drains

Hurricane Sandy should hit the area in full force tomorrow.

Ahead of the oncoming hurricane, the Weston Department of Public Works is asking residents to help them out by clearing storm drains near their property.

The DPW is in the process of clearing storm drains and waterways of fallen leaves throughout Weston before the storm hits later tonight and tomorrow to prevent flooding, according to a post on the town’s website.

“The rapid accumulation of falling leaves will require a continued effort on our part,” the post says.
