Elizabeth Warren (D) beats Scott Brown (R) for U.S. Senate

Scott Brown has represented Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate since a January 2010 special election held to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the late Ted Kennedy. Brown defeated state Attorney General Martha Coakley with 1,168,107 votes, or 51.9 percent, to her 1,058,682 votes, or 47.1 percent.

Edward Markey (D), Tom Tierney (R): MA 5th Congressional District

Edward Markey is the congressman for the MA 7th congressional district, but due to redistricting, he is running for the 5th district seat. Tierney, a Framingham resident, is a first-time candidate.

State Rep. Alice H. Peisch (D) is uncontested for 14th Norfolk District, which will cover Weston, Wellesley and Precinct 4 in Wayland beginning in 2013. She'll serve a sixth 2-year term.
