Weston's Bylaw Changes Approved by Attorney General

The bylaw amendments were approved by voters at the Nov. 26, 2012, Special Town Meeting.

Weston voters approved two bylaw changes during the Nov. 26, 2012, Special Town Meeting.

The bylaw changes occurred under Article 8 of the Special Town Meeting Warrant and included a zoning bylaw change and a general bylaw change.

In the Earth Removal and Movement zoning bylaw, voters amended the definitions of "earth" and "movement of earth" and inserted a definition for "removal of earth."

The general bylaw, "Material Removal" was also amended by the Special Town Meeting vote on Article 8. In this case, the amendment removed wording related to the Board of Appeals to clarify that only the Planning Board has the authority to issue particular special permits related to the zoning bylaw "Earth Removal and Movement."

The AG's letter, as well as Weston Town Clerk Deborah Davenport's certification of the changes voted at Special Town Meeting, are available on the Town of Weston website.
