Weston Selectmen Appoint Police Station Study Committee

Committee has five voting members.

After interviewing candidates at its last few meetings, the Weston Board of Selectmen on Aug. 28 appointed members to its new Police Station Study Committee, town officials said.

Residents appointed to the committee include Leslie A. Glynn, Richard A. Murray, Carl Stjernfeldt, Josef Gazzola of the Permanent Building Committee, and Selectman Edward Coburn.

The committee will also include three non-voting members: Police Chief Steven Shaw, Fire Chief David Soar and Town Manager Donna VanderClock.

Earlier this month, selectmen discussed how many people to name to the study committee, and discussed the need for a new building, noting the current 40-year-old police station building has problems such as water infiltration, mold and rusted window frames.
