Weston Selectmen Place Debt Exclusion Question on the Ballot

The question, the only one on this year's ballot, deals with appropriating funds for the new Field School.

The Weston Board of Selectmen agreed to put a debt exclusion question on the special election ballot for this year's special town election.

The debt exclusion, also known as Proposition 2 1/2, would provide funding for the new . Town officials have said the project will cost about $31.5 million, and that about $8.6 million of that is expected to be reimbursed by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA).

In order for the funds to be fully appropriated, voters must pass the ballot question in a special election on Saturday, Nov. 12, as well as at Special Town Meeting on Monday, Nov. 14.
