WEEKEND RECAP - 2/10/14

TRACK: Record breaking day for Rapsis & McLaughlin

CAMBRIDGE, Mass - The trend of outstanding performances by the Regis College men's and women's track and field teams continued on Saturday at the Gordon Kelly Invitational, hosted by MIT. Three records were broken on the afternoon; two by the women and one by the men.

WBB: Regis 62, Newbury 47

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's basketball team opened up with an 8-0 start and never looked back, cruising to a 62-47 win over visiting Newbury College in New England Collegiate Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Higgins Court in Weston. The Pride grabbed their 12th straight win and improve to 18-4, 15-0 NECC, while the Nighthawks dropped to 4-16, 4-10 in league play.

MVB: Regis 3, St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) 0; Regis 3, CCRI 2

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis College men's volleyball team hosted four matches on Saturday afternoon, as the Pride went 2-0 with wins over St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn and CCRI. Mount Ida College also picked up a pair of wins over the Bears and Knights.

MVB: Regis 3, Elms 1

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College used set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 22-25, and 26-24 to pick up their first New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) win of the year with a 3-1 victory over Elms College on Friday night in men's volleyball action. The Pride move to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the NECC, while Elms falls to 2-6 and 0-1 in league games.
