Beginnings School Hosts 'Goodbye Winter' Festival
Animal presentation, drumming, dancing and more.
The following information is from Beginnings School:
in Weston hosted its “Goodbye Winter” Festival on
Saturday, March 3.
Though the weather was rainy and cold, it did not deter families from flocking
to this fun-filled event. Close to 100 families attended throughout the
morning and early afternoon.
The morning began with an exciting animal presentation by Animal Adventures.
The children were in awe of the exotic animals: an adorable wallaby, giant Eurasian owl, skunk, marmoset, bush baby, anaconda, alligator and cuddly chinchilla.
Rhythm Kids followed with an interactive concert that had the kids drumming and dancing away. In the Scimagination activities, kids enveloped themselves in huge bubbles, created yummy smoothies and ice cones, and had their faces painted in beautiful animal designs.

In Masterpieces in Ice children (and parents!) painted on large ice canvases, created ice block towers, and watched a professional sculptor from Brookline Ice create a beautiful butterfly sculpture; as a final treat kids were able to paint the finished butterfly ice sculpture.
The day was fun for all. After all the rain, the sun poked through. Hello Spring!
