Reconnecting Through the Volunteer Experience

The Weston Public Library invites you to join SOAR 55, Service Opportunities After Reaching 55, a program of Newton Community Service Center on Wednesday, April 13, 10:30 AM, Weston Public Library, 87 School Street in the Community Room for “Reconnecting through the Volunteer Experience” generously supported by the Tufts Health Plan Foundation. Explore how a volunteer experience can be a pathway to change, self-fulfillment, great relationships and a sense of purpose.

If you are looking to make connections, rediscover a passion, in the midst of a career transition, want to expand your skills or just make a difference, come and learn how, with connections to over 90 nonprofit organizations, SOAR 55 can assist you in your search for the right service opportunity. Hear from SOAR 55 volunteers and Weston residents Roz Sallinger serving as a Mentor at Second Step in Newtonville, Linda Cheren serving on the Development Committee at Wildflower Camp Foundation in Wellesley Hills and Wellesley resident Mark Kaplan serving as a Court Mediator in Framingham. Find out about the variety of interesting and exciting service opportunities in our community.
