Field School to Participate in 25th Annual National Geography Bee

The preliminary rounds of the national contest will take place during classes the week of Jan. 2, 2013.

Students at the Field School will have the opportunity to participate in the 25th Annual National Geography Bee.

The national contest is open to students in grades 4 through 8, according to an announcement from the school.

The preliminary rounds of the contest will take place during students' classes the week of Jan. 2, 2013. The top scoring students in those rounds will progress to the school-wide bee on Jan. 8 at 8:30 a.m. The winner of the school-wide bee will then take a qualifying test to determine whether he/she can progress to the state bee and perhaps the national competition.

National Geographic releases sample questions students can view to better understand what to expect. In addtion, National Geographic also releases 10 practice questions each day. There is no obligation to utilize the resources, but the links are below for students who wish to use them.
