Weston Girls Chosen to Represent Lower NE in National Lacrosse Tournament

Sophie Mussafer and Sarah Peters of Weston were both selected to represent the Lower New England region this year at the National Tournament.

Two Weston girls have been selected to represent Lower New England in a national tournament.

Sophie Mussafer and Sarah Peters of Weston were two of 100 lacrosse players chosen to represent their division.

Sophie Mussafer, a junior midfielder from Nobles and Greenough School, competed in the Seneca Division. She faced teams from Long Island, Washington, D.C. Metro, upstate New York and New Jersey.

Sarah Peters, a junior midfielder from played in the Mohawk Division. She faced teams from Maine, Washington State, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

The annual tournament is hosted by U.S. Lacrosse and held July 22 to 24.
