Our thoughts and prayers are with the students, families and educators in Newtown, Connecticut after the fatal shootings at an elementary school there this morning. Each fall we review our safety and security procedures, which are then shared with the Police and Fire Departments. In light of this recent event, each principal is revisiting the plans with faculty and staff; and I have been in touch with Police Chief Shaw. We will provide materials to our faculty to help answer student questions about the events that might arise at school on Monday.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Cheryl Maloney
Superintendent of Schools
