Late Rally Not Enough for ‘Cats

Ober, Vasquez, Goldman lead Weston.

The Weston softball team rallied with three runs in the top of the seventh, but couldn’t catch Concord-Carlisle in an 8-5 loss to the host Patriots in Dual County League Small Division action Monday.

The Wildcats fell to 4-12 overall and 2-6 in division play.

“[They] shut us down offensively for the first three innings, but we began to chip away,” Weston head coach Kelly Harrington said. “We are starting to play well together despite having multiple injuries forcing people to play different positions.”
