PHOTOS: Wayland-Weston Ballgame Raises Money for Cancer Research

Weston High School hosted a Coaches vs. Cancer match-up.

It was more than just a game against the cross-town rival on Monday when Weston High School's varsity baseball team hosted Wayland High School on May 14 in a Coaches vs. Cancer game.

The $5 admission fees, as well as additional donations, were collected for the American Cancer Society. Beyond raising funds, the team members themselves donned special commemorative clothing to raise awareness.

The Weston boys laced their cleats with pink shoelaces in honor of all those affected by breast cancer. In the other dugout, the Wayland boys sported purple socks in memory of Wayland High School who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer earlier this year.
