Weston High Football Crushes Randolph

Wildcats' offense, defense and special teams combination lead to impressive win in opening game.

The Weston High Wildcats wasted no time scoring in the 2013 season.

Jeffrey Ivery-Mallard took the kickoff 75 yards for a TD in the first quarter and followed that with a 5-yard run later in the first quarter.

Randolph clawed their way back into the game and it was tied 14-14 at halftime.

But the second half was all Wildcats. Brett Rowe scored two touchdowns with short runs in the third quarter and Carlfred Malcolm finished the scoring with a 15-yard run in the fourth quarter to put Weston up 35-14.

It wasn’t just the offense that impressed on Saturday. Greg Fligor intercepted two passes. The Boston Globe highlighted Fligor as a player of the week for his performance Saturday.
