The Weston Observatory, owned and operated by Boston College for the Department of Geology and Geophysics. The geophysical observatory measures seismic activity. It is also home to the Catherine O'Connor Library, which holds a collection of earth science specialities such as maps, periodicals and monographs. The observatory holds public lectures and self-guided and regular tours are available. The library is also open to the public by appointment.
