Weston High School Principal Speaks Out Against Graffiti

Principal Anthony Parker warned that any students found tagging Weston High School would be suspended.

According to an email sent out to parents on Friday afternoon, Weston High School Principal Anthony Parker spoke to the student body over the PA system today regarding graffiti on the school building. Parker said there have been a series of "tagging" incidents where graffiti and name tags were written on walls, and chastised those responsible for defacing school property and disrespecting the school community, especially the custodians, whose job it is to clean off the graffiti. "Ultimately tagging communal property is selfish. It assumes a shared understanding or acceptance of whatever the symbol represents in the graffiti," said Parker.
