Weston Finishes Perfect Season With A Light Victory

With a post season in the bag, the Wildcats defeated Wayland 3-2 at home.

With a week full of games over, a postseason berth grabbed and a perfect season in the bag, Weston boys' tennis team was due for some rest and relaxation on Friday. Facing a Wayland team who had already missed the playoffs, the host Wildcats were given a chance to work in some future starters and give their present starters a break in a 3-2 victory. The win finishes a 17-0 regular season for Weston. “We are looking at what future is in store for us next season and give some guys play time,” said Weston coach George Conlin. “It was a good fun match today.” Coming off 3-2 victory over Wellesley (14-2) the following day, the Wildcats sat all but their No. 1 doubles team Matt Gorelik and Matt Legocki and doubles partner Trevor Sands.
