Patriots Cheerleaders Hold Open Auditions Tomorrow

Auditions will be held in Gillette Stadium's Dana Farber Field House. Registration begins at 10 a.m.

The New England Patriots cheerleaders will hold an open audition for the 2013 squad tomorrow, Saturday, March 2.   Women who are at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED are invited to audition. The auditions will take place in Gillette Stadium’s Dana Farber Field House. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Candidates will perform two designated routines and a freestyle combination. They will be judged on dance ability, showmanship, overall appearance and level of physical fitness. Judges will narrow the field to up to 65 participants to be invited back for final auditions on Saturday, March 16. Middlesex Sheriff Koutoujian Pays His Chowder Debt

Middlesex County Sheriff Peter Koutoujian recently lost a bet over the AFC Championship game.

Middlesex County Sheriff Peter Koutoujian followed through on a promise and delivered New England Clam Chowder to the Waltham-based REACH Beyond Domestic Violence on Tuesday, Jan. 29. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Koutoujian, who lives in Waltham, delivered the chowder to the domestic violence assistance organization to pay off the bet he made with Baltimore Sheriff John Anderson over the outcome of the AFC Championship football game during which the New England Patriots lost to the Baltimore Ravens.  The chowder will go to domestic violence victims. “REACH is an organization with whom I have had a long affiliation. The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers are Super Bowl-bound.

If you're a New England fan, you still might be shaking your head following the Patriots loss Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens in the American Football Conference championship game. With the win, the Ravens advance to Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3 and take on the National Football Conference champ San Francisco 49ers.  Those of you who aren't Patriots fans, are you glad Tom Brady's days under center are over for the season? Who will you root for on Sunday, Feb. 3?  New England fans: which team will you cheer for in the Super Bowl, and why? The 49ers, because of the Patriots loss to Baltimore? VIDEO: Krafts to Donate $25K to Newtown; Patriots Remember Victims

Patriots President Jonathan Kraft told media Sunday The Kraft Group and his family will donate $25,000 to those affected by the Newtown tragedy.
