Original report: Scanner reports Monday night indicate a driver is in State Police custody after leading officers on a high-speed chase down Route 128 that ended in a crash near the Newton/Weston line. CBS Boston is reporting that the driver is a 16-year-old from Westford who was driving his mother's car. He reportedly missed a court appearance today and was wanted on a felony warrant for a probation violation. The boy was not hurt in the crash, the AP reports. According to emergency communications from this evening, the chase started in Westford when police attempted to pull over a black Volvo SUV on Route 40.
