Toys for Tots Collection Underway at Police Station, Other Locations

It's the fourth year Weston Police Sgt. Dave Tinglof has served as the liaison for Toys for Tots.

There's a moment during each of the past three years of Toys for Tots that Weston Police Sgt. Dave Tinglof said he most enjoys. "Usually on the last day, we bring all the toys over from all the different sites and put them all in the front lobby," Tinglof said. "I usually just look at them all and take a picture and get excited. "When all those toys take up the entire lobby, that's the greatest moment." This will the fourth year that Tinglof has served as liaison for the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program. He said the generosity he sees each year is what keeps him coming back. LIST: 2012 Toys for Tots Drop Off Locations In Weston and Wayland

The Toys for Tots annual drive is underway and there are several locations close by to drop your toys off. Bring new, unwrapped toys to the drop-off locations.  Every year for the past 28 years, the Massachusetts State Police has worked with the Marines to collect toys for needy children by using State Police Barracks as drop off locations and assisting with toy drives throughout the state.  The age group that is most needed is age 0-2 and 11-14 year-olds.  Here's a look at the drop-off locations in Weston and Wayland:
