The newest Stop & Shop near Weston welcomed its customers in grand opening fashion Thursday night with a party and several presentations, including one to Wayland-Weston Youth Football.
There wasn't much shopping going on, but there was plenty of mingling, eating, drinking and music during Stop & Shop's grand opening party at its Wayland location on Thursday night. General Manager Mike Bussell presented checks to Wayland-Weston Youth Football and Parmenter Food Bank, citing Stop & Shop's commitment to partnering with local organizations and charities. "This is a great donation for our program," said Shawn Fennelly, president of Wayland-Weston Youth Football. "It allows us to offer scholarships and keep costs down."
