Deer hunting season begins next week.
1. Deer hunting season begins next Monday, but only for archers. 2. Author Steven Puleo will read from his book "Dark Tide" tonight at 7. 3. Today is the last day to register for the Council on Aging's CarFit program, sponsored by Newton-Wellesley Hospital. To register, call 781-786-6280. The informational seminar is Saturday. From the town's website: CarFit: Helping Mature Drivers Find Their Perfect Fit will be held Saturday, October 13, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Field Elementary School Playground. 4.
