Meadowbrook Student Honored for Mathcounts National Win

A student on the Massachusetts Mathcounts team was honored June 6 at the statehouse.

The following information is from the governor's office: Gov. Deval Patrick today congratulated the Massachusetts MATHCOUNTS team which was recently named 2012 national champions, including Alec Sun of Lexington, Niket Gowravaram of Acton, Matt Lipman of Lexington (who attends the Meadowbrook School of Weston) and James Lin of Winchester. “I congratulate these students on their success and thank them for representing the Commonwealth on a national level,” said Patrick. “Massachusetts leads the nation in mathematics and we will continue our high level of investment in education to reach our full potential as a Commonwealth.” “Congratulations to the MATHCOUNTS team for this achievement, adding to the Commonwealth’s national recognition as a …
