Spellman Museum Hosting Vacation Week Events
The museum's annual Happy Birthday Presidents Day will take place during the vacation week and a special reenactor will bring a former president to life.
"Let them eat cake" ... and look at stamps ... and "meet" presidents. The Spellman Museum is holding a couple of events this week for families, beginning Sunday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m., with a visit from actor and author Ted Zalewski. Zalewski will present his one-man, one-hour show, "Teddy Rossevelt: Mind, Body and Spirt." "Combining history, drama and fun, Zalewski gives an impersonation of TR and presents Roosevelt's own words, writings, and beliefs," according to a release from the museum. "Cowboy, soldier, naturalist, historian, father, statesman and winner of the Nobel Prize for Peace, Theodore Roosevelt lived a life that inspires us still."
