Bio:
I grew up in Hanover, N.H., and lived in New York and Colorado before moving to Massachusetts in 2006. I have a master's degree in print journalism from Boston University, and a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Syracuse University. I've been a journalist for more than eight years, working as a reporter or editor for newspapers and magazines. I was Lexington Patch editor from May 2010 to April 2011, and am now an associate regional editor.

This home was never used as a rectory, but it was the home of a family that donated land to the catholic community to build the original St Brigid's church, and that family actually named the original church. There is a lot of history of that home, not unloved, dilapidated, unused house in front of St Brigid's ....that is how it has been described in local papers over the past few months. Very sad for those of us who had relatives living in that home. As I have said before it was always filled with aromas of dinners cooking and goodies baking in the oven. God bless the new family!
